We define the “Spark of Creation” as the first moment of inspiration that allows the release of creativity within each individual. Whether it be through dance or music, it is what every artist uses to fuel their passion for their art form. We believe that every person is gifted with this “Spark of Creation” and our goal is to help discover, nurture and celebrate this gift.

    Our Mission

Spark of Creation Studio is committed first and foremost to foster the love of dance and the performing arts in our students. We are passionate about dance, music, theater and the education of the performing arts on the Peninsula. Our studio’s primary focus is developing each student’s talents by nurturing their individual abilities. Our goal is to instill self-esteem and and understanding and appreciation for dance and music. We will create positive experiences that students can carry with them throughout their lives, no matter where their future takes them. ACTING: Actors will learn to behave logically and naturally onstage. We will work on projection, improvisational work, scene study, character development, and monologues. Relaxation and concentration are also stressed to provide con>idence and comfort on stage. Students will be exposed to the Meisner and Adler techniques.

MUSICAL THEATER AUDITION WORKSHOP: Students get a combination of proper singing technique and the tools to tell a story through a song. Each student moves at their own pace and will prepare individual songs for upcoming theater auditions. In this master class you will learn to find the comic and dramatic opposites in a song as well as identifying your “money” moment that will wow the other side of the table and get you the callback. This class is geared for performers of all levels, from the beginner to the most experienced – emphasizing the skills that you can and will use in every aspect of your life.

COMPETITION TECHNIQUE – This technique class is designed with students in our competition program in mind. Students will focus on strengthening basic ballet and jazz movements as well as working on various turns and jumps in order to better prepare them for upcoming performances and competitions.
