What is the “Spark of Creation”?

We define the “Spark of Creation” as the first moment inspiration that allows the release of creativity within each individual  Whether it be through dance or music, it is what every artist uses to fuel their passion for their art form.  We believe that every person is gifted with this “spark”, and our goal is to help discover, nurture, share and celebrate this gift.

Our Program:
Spark of Creation Studio (SOC Studio) offers a 10-month curriculum that has been designed for students interested in exploring various dance and music styles and for students already focused on a particular discipline. We also offer a youth summer musical theatre camp and a variety of summer classes that enables students to try a new dance class, or continue in their dance training throughout the summer.

In order to showcase all of our student’s talents, SOC Studio holds two yearly stage performances during the year: our December Holiday Showcase and our June Year-End Recital.  All students will have the opportunity to perform and are encouraged to participate in these shows.  SOC Studio also produces the annual Te Pura O Te Rahura’a Polynesian Showcase, which is a fundraising show that benefits dancers in our Advanced level Polynesian program.   SOC students frequently perform at various community events and festivals throughout the year.

SOC Studio offers a variety of dance classes and levels in hula, tahitian, jazz, tap, hip hop ballet, ballet and tap combo and musical theatre. We also offer music classes in voice, piano, guitar, ukulele and drumming and Tahitian drumming.  Private dance and music instruction is also available.
