Adrian DeCastro
Adrian DeCastro, is an award-winning Tahitian dancer, drummer and accomplished musician. He has been dancing for over 10 years training in Polynesian dance including Tahitian, Samoan, Maori and Hula. He has performed with many groups throughout the bay area and most notably as a lead dancer, choreographer and musician for the group Hui Tama Nui. Adrian has received numerous awards as a soloist in Tahitian competitions including the Tahiti Fete of San Jose, Heiva I Reno and Kiki Raina, just to name a few. Adrian is also a creative and innovative choreographer and most recently collaborated and choreographed for the tane of Te Pura O Te Rahura’a in their Tahiti Fete production, “O Ta’aki E” this year. He is a member of the Polynesian music group “Te Ava Rua” and a member of Bay Area reggae band “Lifted Roots.” He has traveled, danced and trained throughout the Bay Area and in Tahiti. We are excited to welcome Adrian to Spark of Creation Studio where he will be teaching our Advanced Tane (Men’s) Polynesian classes.
