Hip Hop – Genesis

Genesis is Spark of Creation Studio’s award winning hip hop dance troupe based in South San Francisco, California for those ages 13 and up.  Along with Jr. Genesis, for those 6-12 years old, we participate in numerous competitions throughout the Bay Area, including Showstopper dance competition and Spotlight Dance Cup.  Performers are also given the opportunity to showcase their talents at various community events and festivals throughout the year.  Aside from regular scheduled classes and rehearsals, we periodically invite guest artists and choreographers to work with Genesis and Jr. Genesis to help hone their skills.  We also hold dance workshops open to all students to expose them to different styles of hip hop. Our goal is to continue to develop dancers’ talents and encourage appreciation for the hip hop culture and art form.
